How to Play Debt Hunt: Beginner & First-Run Survival Guide

First-run guide

Debt Hunt beginner route: generator to sunset survival

A successful first run follows five moves: start the RV generator, open Dark Market on the laptop, scavenge and mine sellable resources, collect the Cash payout the next morning, and save your Air Horn charges for the monster after sunset. Repay the debt, then prepare for the separate Final Hunt objective.

First run at a glance

Debt Hunt Day and Night Plan

Day: power, loot and sell

Start the RV generator, open Dark Market on the laptop, then scavenge and mine while daylight lasts. Put sellable items into the RV flow before sunset.

Cash arrives the next in-game morning.

Night: break sight and keep moving

The monster starts hunting at sunset. Watch its field of view, keep an escape line open, and use an Air Horn charge to create space when the chase closes in.

The checked tutorial build gives the Air Horn 3 uses; it deters the monster briefly, not permanently.

Crucial Payout Mechanic: Cash Arrives Next Morning

In Debt Hunt, Cash from sold items does not immediately credit to your balance after deposit. All earnings are calculated and awarded at the start of the next in-game morning. Do not panic or abandon your run if your wallet does not update the instant you sell!

Debt Hunt Beginner Walkthrough: Day 1 to Sunset

  1. Step 1: Start the RV Generator and Open Dark Market

Begin in the RV area and start the generator. Once the RV has power, use the laptop and open Dark Market. This is where the first-run tutorial introduces equipment orders, so learn the generator-to-laptop path before you head deep into the map.

  2. Step 2: Scavenge Resources and Mine Mineral Ores

Use daylight to collect sellable items and return with enough time to prepare for sunset. The Pickaxe is built for breaking stone and minerals, so bring it when your route includes Mineral Ores.

  3. Step 3: Sell Items and Get Cash the Next Morning

Put the items you want to sell into the RV selling flow, then finish the current day. Debt Hunt does not pay that sale immediately: the tutorial says the Cash arrives the next in-game morning. Check the new balance before deciding how much to spend in Dark Market.

  4. Step 4: Survive the Sunset Monster

The monster begins hunting after sunset. Published values list a 180° field of view on Easy and Normal, 200° on Hard, and 230° on Insane. In the checked tutorial build, the Air Horn has three uses and briefly drives the monster back. Use that opening to move: it is a temporary deterrent, not a stun.

  5. Step 5: Recover Quickly After a Trip

If you trip during a chase, follow the recovery prompt immediately. In the checked PC footage, pressing Space restored movement; on other devices, use the control shown on screen. Once upright, move toward open ground.

How the Debt Hunt Gameplay Loop Works

  • Know the Debt Hunt Day-and-Night Loop

Daylight is your earning window: power the RV, collect resources, sell items, and prepare an escape tool. At sunset the monster starts hunting. Roblox currently labels the experience [REVERT], so the lobby may differ from the Update 1 tutorial while the debt-and-sunset loop stays the same.

Debt Hunt Beginner Troubleshooting

  • Your Sold Items Did Not Pay Immediately

Wait for the next in-game morning and check the Cash balance again. The sale payout is delayed by design in the tutorial flow, so an unchanged balance during the same day does not mean the items were lost.

  • The Tutorial or RV Laptop Looks Different

Return to the current lobby, finish any prompt still on screen, and start the generator before checking the laptop again. Roblox now labels the experience [REVERT], so older Update 1 screenshots may show a different lobby layout even when the RV and Dark Market route is still available.

Common Debt Hunt Beginner Mistakes

  • Expecting Cash on the Same Day

Sold-item Cash arrives the next morning. Do not spend the rest of the day waiting beside the selling point.

  • Using Every Air Horn Charge Too Early

The tutorial build gives each Air Horn three uses. Save charges for a chase or a blocked escape route.

  • Starting a Long Route Near Sunset

Turn back before the monster activates. A smaller haul that reaches the RV is worth more than a full inventory lost in the dark.
